Los Angeles City Council Unanimously Approves Wilshire Air Space Vacation

The Los Angeles City Council unanimously approved the Wilshire air space vacation for our new building for the permanent collection.

LACMA has worked closely with engineering, traffic, and safety experts to ensure that the portion of the building spanning Wilshire Boulevard is safe for motorists and pedestrians. The design of the new building will result in more open and accessible galleries, the addition of 3.5 acres of new open park space, and allow continued scientific research at the La Brea Tar Pits.
